Registration Time Already

It's already time to register for Spring semester classes. I will be taking Advanced Physiology and Pathophysiology II, Legal and Ethical Issues and Evidence for Practice. A grand total of 9 credits again.

I hope this means that it' going fast. I remember when I was a Freshman Undergrad. I looked at 4 years as forever and even considered dropping out of school in favor of a 2 year degree in something. I think I remember looking into the paramedic field. Somehow, I don't remember what happened, I continued on and it ended up taking me 5.5 years to get my 4 year degree. They tell you that you don't have to know what you want to major in right away... that you can take generals. That's a bunch of bull. The reason it took me 5.5 years is because I didn't take the correct classes I needed to apply to the nursing program for years 2, 3 and 4. So it ended up setting me back.

The girls have been asking me a lot of questions about when I was last a college student, if I liked my roommate, if the food was good, etc. They were very surprised to find out that college isn't 8-3 like high school. They think it's pretty cool that you can have classes 3 days per week only in the mornings and have the rest of the time off.....except that there is a lot of school work to do in that time.

Going to School on the Internet is hard to get used to. It's really weird, before I would drive to the library, pull my journals I needed for references in a paper, photo copy the article and take it home to do the paper. Now, I can access the library online, search for whatever I need and print out the article at home. Weird. If I miss class, it has been recorded... I can access it any time I wish and catch up.

Graduate school is WAY different. There is a lot and I mean a lot of writing to do. Weekly writing projects in my epidemiology class and I hear that 2 of my classes for next semester are heavy in writing also. I prefer tests. My pathophysiology class is tests every 3 weeks, and we did have 1 small writing assignment.

  1. Don't you just hate it when teachers think their class is the only class you have? Why do they assign so much writing? Do they know how long it will take them to read all those papers?

  2. Hey this is kinda of off topic but I was wanting to know if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML.
I'm starting a blog soon but have no coding expertise so I wanted to get advice from someone with experience. Any help would be enormously appreciated!
